無知の後悔
ブルース・スプリングスティーンが、消防士の栄誉をたたえた歌を作っていたとは驚きだ。
なぜ知らなかったのかと思うが、日本ではさほど話題にはなっていなかったのだ。
今日、この歌を「ギャレスマローンの職場で歌おう２」で初めて知った。
我が国でもこういう、落ち着いた讃歌が出てくるといいのだが。
我が国で思い出すのは、乾杯の歌手が自衛隊で歌っている場面だが、
ブルース・スプリングスティーンの「The Rising」の歌詞中には、一切、Fireという文言はないのである。
